Job Summary
The Medical Center Director will be responsible for overseeing all clinical and administrative operations of our new state-of-the-art hospital. This role is critical in establishing the strategic direction, implementing policies and procedures, and fostering a culture of clinical excellence and compassionate patient care as we prepare to launch this facility and begin serving the community.
Job Description
- Develop the overall strategic plan and objectives for the hospital in alignment with the mission and values.
- Oversee the planning, design and construction phases to ensure our new hospital is built and equipped to the highest standards.
- Recruit and build a talented team of clinical and administrative leaders to operate the hospital.
- Establish the policies, procedures, systems and governance structure for the hospital operations.
- Manage the hospital’s financial performance, including developing budgets, monitoring revenue and expenses, and driving strong fiscal stewardship.
- Ensure the hospital maintains full compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, accreditation requirements and quality standards.
- Foster a culture of patient-centred care, service excellence, teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the face of the hospital, building strong relationships with the community, government agencies, and other healthcare partners.
- Keep abreast of advances in healthcare administration and introduce innovative solutions to enhance hospital performance.
- Provide ongoing leadership, direction and support to the hospital leadership team and all staff.
Job Requirements
- Effective communication skills with a good command of the English language, both written and oral.
- Excellent customer service skills are necessary, along with the ability to create and maintain effective relationships with external customers.
- Ability to adapt to change and implement change initiatives.
- Must be eloquent and exude confidence.

An advanced degree (Masters or above) in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field.

Minimum 15 years of experience in a senior leadership role within a large hospital or health system

Demonstrated track record of successfully leading the launch or major expansion of a hospital.

In-depth knowledge of healthcare operations, finance, regulations, quality and safety best practices.

Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to recruit top talent and foster a high-performing culture.

Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills to engage a wide range of stakeholders.

Strategic thinker with the vision and business acumen to position the hospital for long-term success.
