Job Summary
The Clinical Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care and play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality, compassionate healthcare delivery in our hospital. This position will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Job Description

Assess patients’ health conditions, develop and implement individualized care plans.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

Monitor patients’ conditions, record observations, and report changes to the healthcare team.

Collaborate with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.

Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and preventive care measures.

Operate and monitor medical equipment used in patient care.

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in the hospital’s electronic health record system.

Assist with or perform diagnostic tests and analyze results.

Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies, providing immediate care as needed.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
- Perform other administrative duties as and when required.
- And to perform other duties that may be assigned by management from time to time.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current, valid registration and license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- Strong clinical skills and up-to-date knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
- Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems and basic computer skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move patients as required.
- Commitment to patient-centred care and continuous professional development.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) is preferred.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills. Able to partner effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
